The Union for the Mediterranean is an intergovernmental institution bringing together EU member states and sixteen countries of the southern and eastern Mediterranean. Its pavilion runs in the Blue Zone for the full fortnight, its fifth edition since COP27, hosting panels, policy dialogues and high-level sessions, and giving space to countries that have no national pavilion of their own. At COP30 in Belém it presented findings from MedECC, the Mediterranean scientific expert network.
